reading the chain…

The cube fed by the chain.

$BBI is a cube on Base that watches the chain. It pulls recent commits from a list of active Base GitHub repos. More commits, fatter cube. Fewer commits, hungrier cube. Feed it if you feel like it.

how it works

How the cube eats

  1. 01

    It reads the ecosystem

Every time you load the page, your browser hits the public GitHub API and pulls recent commits from a list of active Base repos. Nothing in the middle. The cube is doing the work.

  2. 02

    It derives the index

BBI is commits per day across those repos over the last 30 days. Whatever GitHub returned at fetch time is what the cube eats. If nothing came back, the cube does not pretend.

  3. 03

    It reacts in real time

A high score grows the cube and turns its aura green. A low score shrinks it and the aura goes amber. If GitHub blocks the request or the network drops, the cube naps and you see why.
